Why do your Scandle Essentials cost more than Scandle Originals? What’s the difference?

The reason that our Essentials line has a higher price point than The Originals is because The Essentials are made with plant derived essential oils, whereas The Originals are made with skin-safe, man-made fragrance oils.

Buyer beware! There is much debate in the beauty industry on standards for labeling a product “Natural”. Some manufacturers use the deceptive practice of labeling their Body Candles as such, but there may be using synthetic fragrance oils. At Scandle, we have taken the guess work out of what constitutes “Natural” by separating our product into two distinct lines: Scandle Essentials (which is truly all natural) and Scandle Originals (which is a natural product that uses fragrance oils free from animal by-products).
