Mother’s Day gifting - Brunch

For those of us lucky enough to be near our mommies (I’m not and I’ll have an idea for us tomorrow) why not create a brunch without breaking the bank or waiting for hours to get a table.

Your options are endless when it comes to “brunching” but I would highly suggest adding this delicious drink to your menu

Fresh Strawberry Bellini

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle prosecco (an Italian wine — generally a dry sparkling wine)
  • 2 cups pureed and strained fresh strawberries
Directions:
  • Place your Champagne flutes in a freezer for 20 minutes
  • Let the prosecco stand opened in an ice bucket for 5 minutes
  • Puree the strawberries and pour it into a pitcher
  • Add the prosecco and stir until combined
  • Pour into the flutes and refrigerate the remaining for up to 4 hours

Another tip is to purchase some flowers while you are shopping for brunch, chocolate dipped fruit and mom’s Strawberry Bellini. Grocery floral departments have beautiful arrangements and bouquets and sometime are over half the price of specialty shops.
