I absolutely love a dramatic pigment when it comes to eyeshadow for a night out on the town but everyday color is a different story
Last week Neutrogena released results from a national survey they conduct, which found that American women expect their cosmetics to “deliver flawless skin and sun protection over fashion-forward colors.”
Not only did the survey find this new trend toward flawless, protected beauty - more than half of respondents over the age of 55 said their biggest selling point is anti-aging products that minimize the look of fine lines and wrinkles.
Here are some other interesting results:
- ‘Flawless skin tone’ was the number one response for all women in choosing their cosmetics
- Regardless of age, products which enhanced your skin with either vitamins, minerals or other ingredients were chosen ahead of more traditional makeup staples like elongated lashes (8% of women wanted), full-looking lips (3%) and defined cheekbones (2%)
- Fifty-six percent of American women wear makeup with an SPF
- Forty-two percent of women said if they had to choose between makeup and breakfast when pressed for time before work, they would choose to apply makeup.
Let’s here it ladies, what do you think about this survey? Are you in the majority or minority?
